Electronic displays Conference 2010

March 3-4, 2010, Nuernberg

The electronic displays Conference enters its fourth round in Nuernberg. The conference parallel to embedded world has established itself as Europe?s largest conference on electronic displays and their applications: In 2009 the program featured more than 40 contributions and attracted over 200 attendees from all over Europe. It is the platform in Europe for promoting the dialogue and discussion between engineers, researchers, users, and manufacturers/ distributors in the field of electronic displays.

In addition to a comprehensive schedule of technical paper presentations, author interviews will provide intensive discussions and contacts with the attendees.

Once again, we will have an opportunity to participate in this event by introducing the e3 technology principles in regards to LCD backlight systems and direct lighting solutions (THURSDAY, March 4th   11:00-12:00)

The Introduction to UPE: useful power efficiency

We are proud to announce that Licomet developed a novel method of display performance characterization. The usefulness of flat panel displays and light sources is now characterized by UPE factor: useful - power - efficiency.

The proposed method describes the behaviour of FPD and light technologies in respect to optical response and power efficiency when the active area/surface is considered.

The final value indicates how good the performance of our sample when compared to ideal model is. It finally draws it down to ONE simple comparable number with the meaning of “as bigger as better”.

The 17th International Fair of Lighting Equipment „LIGHT 2009“took place on 23rd to 25th March 2009 in Warsaw, Poland.

Together with our partners in the lighting industry, Hikaritec GmbH, we took a part in this event in order to promote and support an innovative lighting technologye³.  One of our main tasks was to get an indication of how well the new linear plasma light in relation to the common solutions in lighting technology market performs. 

We are pleased to announce that linear plasma lamp e³ is amongst others the most efficient, reliable and robust technology which is opening the future of lighting today.

ED - electronic displays conference 2009 in Nürnberg (News)

March 4–5, 2009 in Nürnberg; Europe’s largest Conference on Electronic Displays and their Applications will take place for the 23rd time in order to promote the dialogue and discussion between engineers, researches and manufacturers.

Everybody professionally involved in Electronic Displays and Systems should attend this event, especially on 5th of March when we are going to present our latest development of display technology measurement method called UPE.

Chungnam Display Center – Cooperation Agreement

We are very pleased and proud to announce that a strategic cooperation agreement has been established between Licomet and Chungnam Techno Park in South Korea with the aim of enhancing display measurement and consultancy services around the globe. Therefore, Licomet becomes an exclusive service representative of CNDC for Europe.

Both parties commit to establish high levels of services and affirm the long-term strategic partnership based upon mutual trust, respect, and benefits.

We strongly believe that agreement expand our technical capabilities and will lead the way in the European display metrology market in integrating devices and services together.

Electronica 2008

Electronica 2008, the most significant electronics fair concluded last week. This year event consisted of almost 3 thousand exhibitors and 72 thousand of visitors from all around the globe.

As it was expected, the global economic crisis was a major concern and a topic of discussions during this year event. Although everyone agreed that the downward trend will be maintained in the near future, Electronica 2008 emphasized how stable the electronic industry in the face of global crisis is.

It was a very successful event for us with lots of good interaction with partners as well as potential customers. Therefore, we would like to say thank you to everyone who visited us during this week as well as to Displaynet members for their support and cooperation.
