We are proud to announce that Licomet developed a novel method of display performance characterization. The usefulness of flat panel displays and light sources is now characterized by UPE factor: useful - power - efficiency.

The proposed method describes the behaviour of FPD and light technologies in respect to optical response and power efficiency when the active area/surface is considered.

The final value indicates how good the performance of our sample when compared to ideal model is. It finally draws it down to ONE simple comparable number with the meaning of “as bigger as better”.
